How the vlogbrothers are Making Me a Better Person.
So over the past few days I have been watching a great many vlogbrothers youtube video blogs. I must say they are awesome! A little more to the left from where my political views stand but still AWESOME!
In one of the vlogs about healthcare John says “Career decisions should be about finding the place where your talents meet the worlds needs not about finding the place where you can get health insurance.” I have to say that was a very enlightening statement. I have in fact spent time in a job that, I like just fine, but was really just so I could have insurance so my wife and I could afford to have a second child. Now this blog is not about health insurance, it is in fact about having found the place where my talents meet the worlds needs.
I very much feel that I have found exactly that place. I love what I do and how I do it. I (not trying to sound boastful) feel I am very good at my job. The longer I am in real estate the more I find that there are a great many mediocre real estate agents out there. I am not one of those. Most of my day is spend looking for clients and improving the knowledge needed to take great care of them. It is my full-time occupation not some part-time hobby. I read multiple sites and sources every day to make sure that I know as much as possible about what the future holds (not that we will ever figure that out fully) and how to make sure that myself and my clients can best take advantage of the future.
I love helping people. I love teaching people what I have learned and making their process of buying and selling real estate as painless and positive of an experience as it can be. It is not always sunshine and rainbows. Sometime it is down right difficult and a bit depressing. There is nothing more disheartening than telling a client that their property does not have the value they thought it did, or that they will likely have to do a short sale, or that they will have to bring money to the closing table, or giving counsel as the go through a death or a divorce. It is hard! It is also totally rewarding when you take the most difficult of situations and make it as bright and shinny as it can possibly be.
Contact me if you have questions about Colorado Springs Real Estate! I would love to show you where my talents meet the worlds needs. DFTBA and thank you vlogbrothers!
